If you need inspiration...

click on the "create" video

my sister sent me the link to this video. And it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Made me feel powerful and that I have ability to create. I'm one of those perfectionist types, that if I'm not immediately amazing at something, then what's the point in trying to be good at that? It's quite a hindrance to me. But now I know I have created something beautiful and I get to experience that every day!

Unexpected surprise

I got my bill from the delivery in the mail today. I mean, of course I knew it was coming, but it was actually less than I thought it was going to be. Which makes me very, very happy. I guess it's totally worth it, financially, to go natural AND have a midwife. It's an amount that seems do-able. That's what our tax return was for anyway :)

Always entertained

I may turn into those crazy picture mom's who thinks everything her baby does is new and exciting and has to document for all the world to see.

Oh well. Here it is :)Derek and Jonah take lots of naps together. Believe me, you'll be seeing a lot of this

Now introducing...

So I am officially a mommy. I tried sending an email out, but only half the people I sent it to received it because I added too many pictures and the files were too big. Just showing off!! But I'll put them on here too, because they make me happy. So, on wednesday Sharon took some maternity pictures of me. The whole week I had been joking that as soon as that was done, he could come. So turns out I wasn't really kidding. 6 hours after the shoot was over, around 3:45 AM, my water broke. Called Derek to come get me.

him:"well, are you having contractions?"
me: "it doesn't matter! When your water breaks, you go!"

gave him an excuse to go 90 on the way home. Yeah, you're welcome :)

Get to the hospital around 4 AM. Almost 9 hours later, 12:54 PM, February 26th, Jonah comes. And all without any pain relief. Yep, that's right, I did it. Some of you called me crazy, but I did it. And the end result was well worth it. Makes you forget about all the pain you endured when you see him and feel an instant unconditional love. Don't believe me? Just look at this beautiful boy!

Introducing Jonah Derek Rigby: weighing in at 7 lbs, 2 oz and 20 inches long :)

(Sorry for the nudity)

Yeah, he's got a set of lungs on him. Thankfully, he hasn't used them much yet.

Tanya was one of the first people to visit. I love you! I love you for crying out of happiness. Come visit! We miss you! Especially Jonah, misses his aunt :)

Uncle Joe came too. Check out that chin strap? Yeah, thankfully Jonah doesn't have one of those, like everyone expected. With our genes, give him some time. A year atleast :)

Jonah and Uncle Hayden. He was nervous to hold him, but he did great!
Jonah and Aunt Indee. Our mini-momSharon and Kerry

These are both normal faces. I love it

Aunt Becky

I like this comparison

Derek let me wear his favorite shirt. That, is love :)

His going home outfit. Look at that stunner!

And we have Derek to thank for all the pictures :)
