How to?

I'm trying to compile a playlist of songs which would be good to listen to while in labor. I really have no idea how to do this. Do I want relaxing, calming songs for the whole labor process and more upbeat music for the pushing? I'm just taking in any suggestions I can.

Also, today when we dropped Jonah off at nursery, one of the leaders says "Oh, he got a haircut. How adorable! He looks like a mushroom!"
HA!

i have no advice for you on this one, never having been through this whole thing myself, but i do know that my sister in law Megan Morgan and Katherine Purser (both girls i know you know) had playlists for their labors. maybe check w/ them on what they recommend? i think its such a cool thing to do!

I used pandora... started with a song I knew I wanted on my playlist and made a station like it.... I would bookmark songs I liked and wanted on the list. I also used the genius feature on our I tunes. Someone told be about a site you can mak any playlist of songs and not buy them. I used an itunes gift card to buy the playlist for delivery though.

Maybe instead of upbeat songs for the pushing, you should look into getting right-whale or bull elk mating calls. It seems like all the sounds involved would be really similar and might even form some sort of circle-of-life harmony thing.
